A Modern Rustic Catholic Wedding at River Creek Country Club, Virginia

The Proposal

Macarena first met Luis when she was working as a math tutor at Northern Virginia Community College, where Luis was a student. They met when he was in one of the classes she was tutoring, and he started to ask her math questions. Over time, they talked more and got to know each other better, and after they had built a friendship, they began to date and fall in love. After five years of dating, Luis surprised Macarena with a proposal at Stone Tower Winery, where he arranged for all of their family members from Florida and Costa Rica to be there. He took her there for their five-year anniversary date, and in the middle of the pouring rain, Luis asked her to be his wife, and of course she said yes!

A River Creek Country Club Wedding

Their ceremony was a traditional Catholic wedding at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Fairfax, Virginia, with a reception following at River Creek Country Club. The bride describes their wedding theme as rustic yet modern. They planned a color palette of navy blue, burgundy, and gold for their fall wedding, and their florals were all white with lots of greenery. The bride says her favorite part of planning their wedding was getting to pick out her dress!Their reception was so much fun, and everyone had a blast on the dance floor! The DJ kept the dance floor rocking, and there was a hilarious tussle for the bouquet and garter tosses! I was so in love with the photos from Macarena and Luis's big day, and I hope you love them as well!
