The Proposal

Courtney and David first met and fell in love while attending Virginia Tech. After dating for a few years, David popped the question at the Salamander Resort in Virginia. When they first got engaged, the two had no idea that Covid-19 was on its way to disrupt their wedding plans. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, Courtney and David had to make the decision to postpone their big celebration until a later date. However, they knew they still wanted to be married to each other as soon as possible, so they decided on a micro wedding at the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. with just close friends and family.

A Washington D.C. Micro Wedding

David and Courtney planned a small ceremony with their closest family and friends at the World War II Memorial. The couple shared an emotional first look on the steps of the Supreme Court. Before their ceremony, we were able to take some breathtaking portraits. Their ceremony was special and meaningful to them, and the candelight and greenery set a beautiful scene. I am so glad that they didn't let the virus stop them from getting married!
