Sarah and Buck first met at Foxfield horse races. After they chatted and found out they were both from Fredericksburg, Virginia, Buck asked Sarah out on a date. She says that he was persistent in his attempts to get her to go out with him, but that after the first date, she was hooked! The couple took a trip together to Ireland with Buck's sister and brother-in-law. The two went for an early morning hike. Surrounded by the cliffs and the ocean, Buck got down on one knee and asked Sarah to marry him. She says that "among the many kind things he told me, he included a quote from The Office and I’ll never let him forget that. 'Marrying me will you be?'" Of course she HAD to say yes after that!
Sarah claims that she absolutely hates planning, so she loved having Antonia Baker plan her wedding for her. They went with a rustic elegance theme, with shades of whites, dark greens, blush, and gold. The winery setting was old-world and romantic and a perfect atmosphere for their wedding! The bridesmaids wore dark green dresses from Birdy Grey, and the shade matched the hunter green of the groom's jacket. The two exchanged private gifts and letters during their first look, which was so sweet and emotional! After the vows, Sarah changed out of her gorgeous gown and into a high/low dress custom made by Mackenzie Clare. The party really got going then! They had such a fun crowd at their wedding, and I loved getting to capture all of their dance floor antics!
